Clara Mae "Tootsie" London

Clara Mae London, “Tootsie”, as she was affectionately called, was the fifth of 12 children born to the late Mack and Winnie London.  Her date of birth was September 13, 1951.  God blessed us with 72 wonderful joyful years.  

Tootsie’s earthly journey reached its end on February 25, 2024.  She is survived by five sisters, Shirley McCray and Pamela London both of Denham Springs, LA, Maxine London of Slidell, LA, Bonnie (Walter) Collins, and Rena (Lee) Johnson of Prairieville, LA, two brothers, Leonard London of Hammond, LA and Samuel (Janet) London of Baton Rouge, LA, cousin like a sister, Gracie Allen of Denham Springs, LA, special cousin like a brother,  Anthony Allen of Atlanta, Georgia,  a godsister, Sheneka Agollah of Missouri City, Texas, 16 nephews and nieces,  44  great nephews and nieces, and 30 great great nieces and nephews, and other cousins, relatives, and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Mack and Winnie London, two brothers, Sonny and Fred London, two sisters, Joyce and JoAnn London, two nephews, Clifford Ray London and Daniel Watson, and one niece, LaRaye London Phillips and one godbrother, John Marcus Shropshire.

Religious service will be at the Greater St. Peter Baptist Church 36250 LA HWY 16 in Denham Springs, LA 70706 on Sunday March 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Roderick Steele.
