Corine Coleman Reese, recieved her angel wings, on Monday, January 8, 2024. Corine, the second born child of the late Samuel and Edis Coleman, was born on Wednesday, October 15, 1947. Corine, was brought up in a loving, God-fearing, Christian home with her parents and siblings. Corine attended church and Sunday school faithfully all her life. And has been faithful to her church Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. Corine began working with East Baton Rouge Parish School System in November 2005, as a School Crossing Guard and then moved on to work as a School Bus Attendant until her retirement in March 2021 after 14 years and 7 months of employment. But none of these jobs could compare to the joy that she felt of being a homemaker, running her own in-home daycare in the 80's, providing house cleaning service for many years and being the co-owner and Business Manager of Reese Trucking, LLC for more than 20 years.

Corine, leaves a legacy of love, worship and faithfulness to be cherished by her two daughters, Shawanda Reese of Houston, TX, Yolonda (Demond, Sr) Thomas of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Jazmine Butler of Houston, TX, Reese Thomas and Demond Thomas Jr, both of Baton Rouge, LA; three Godsons, James Augustine of Kenner, LA, Montrell Boguille, and Donovan Veals both of Baton Rouge, LA; Best Friend of more than 54 years, Clara Toler of Jayess, MS; three sisters, Pearl (Willie) Porter, Minnie Duhe, Patricia Coleman, all of Baton Rouge, LA; five brothers, Edward Charles Sr. (Edna), Jimmy (Jennifer), Melvin (Anita), and Joe Coleman, all of Baton Rouge, LA, and Donald Sr. (Albertha) of Zachary, LA; her Aunt, Ruby Morrow;  uncle, Alton Coleman, both of Baton Rouge, LA; eight sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Corine was preceded in death by her Loving Husband John H. Reese; her parents Samuel and Edis Coleman Sr; sister, Irene Knox;  brother, Samuel Coleman, Jr; maternal grandparents, Andrew 'Joe' and Mary Torrence; paternal grandparents Harry & Julia Coleman Sr.; and her Godfather, Steve Toliver.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation services at Star Hill Baptist Church, 1400 N. Foster Dr.  Baton Rouge, LA. 70806, from  9am until religious service 10am.

 Service officiated by Pastor Paul Cooper. Interment: Southern Memorial Gardens, Baton Rouge, LA. 

Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, LA.
