Edrene Sims Howard

Edrene Sims Howard, a beloved member of our community, passed away on August 13, 2023. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Let us now take a moment to celebrate her life and remember the impact she had on those around her.

Edrene's life will be honored with a series of services. The visitation will take place on August 18, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at New Macedonia Church of God in Christ located at 2580 72nd Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. It is a time for loved ones to gather together and pay their respects to Edrene's memory.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location. It will commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM. This service is an opportunity for all who knew and loved Edrene to come together to share stories, mourn her loss, and find solace in the memories they shared.

After the funeral service, a procession will take place to La. National Cemetery located at 303 West Mt Pleasant Rd., Zachary, LA 70791. This is where Edrene will be laid to rest during an interment ceremony that will occur from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. It is here that we will say our final goodbyes and honor her memory as she is laid to rest in eternal peace.

Edrene Sims Howard was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength in the face of challenges. Her warm smile could light up any room and her laughter contagious enough to brighten even the darkest of days. She touched countless lives through her acts of compassion and selflessness.



Though Edrene Sims Howard is no longer physically with us, her spirit lives on through the memories we hold dear. As we mourn our loss and grieve for what might have been, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived. May the legacy of Edrene's kindness, compassion, and resilience continue to inspire us all.
