Esther Haynes "Ma Esther", 86, a resident of New Orleans, departed this life Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Oschner Medical Center, Gretna. Religious service at Six Baptist Church, 928 Felicity St., New Orleans (504 525-3408) at 11 am Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Conducted by Rev. Torin T. Sanders. Interment in Resthaven Memorial Park, New Orleans. Survived by her children, Blenda Robertson, Cedric Haynes and Kevin Haynes all of New Orleans; Diane Carr, Ponchatoula; Gregory Haynes, Millington, TN and Melvin Haynes, Austin, TX and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by two children, Jean Haynes and Phillip Haynes.
