Eugene Jackson

Eugene D. Jackson, Sr., "Jack", a US army veteran and a retired correctional officer, entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Lane Regional Medical Center, Zachary. He was a native of Scotlandville and a resident of Baker. Visitation at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Blount Rd., Baton Rouge from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, May 1, 2017. Religious service at 10 am Tuesday. Conducted by Rev. Gil H. Wright. Interment in Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary. Survivors include his loving wife, Angela R. Jackson; children, Eugene D. Jackson, Jr., Cedric Jackson and Octavia Muse; his mother, Idella B. Jackson; siblings, Earnest Jackson, Jr., Mary Ellen Jackson and Carolyn Marie Jackson-Spruel; an aunt, Annie Mae Jackson; four grandchildren; a godchild and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, three siblings and his mother in law. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs.
