Latasha Daniell Henry

Latasha Henry was born on February 5, 1982 in Independence, LA to Fred Hurst Jr. and Florence Blaine Henry. She departed this life at the age of 43 years old on May 21, 2025. Latasha accepted Christ, and was baptized in Greensburg, LA by the late Rev. Woodrow Wilson. Latasha graduated from St. Helena High School in 2000. She then attended and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern University. A few years down the road, Latasha obtained her Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University of Shreveport in 2023. Latasha worked as a project manager in electrical engineering for Entergy.

Latasha had many wonderful qualities and attributes. Her main attribute was being a loving mother and best friend to her daughter, Krislyn. She had a love for anime, manga, K- Dramas, and occasionally cosplaying. She was an adventurer; she would always discover a new destination to visit. She valued her friendships she made throughout her life; those friendships turned into family. She had a smile that would light up the room and have the most contagious laugh. Community service was not a foreign concept to her. She devoted her time and efforts to volunteering in the local communities.

Viewing will held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Rocky Hill AME Church, 151 Rocky Hill Rd. Amite, LA 70422 at 9 am until the religious service at 11 am. Rev. Joe Chaney will be officiating the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
