Leola Jackson

Leola Jackson Overton left us peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Joe Overton and mother of the late Reginald Overton. Leola beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sister, Evelyn Jones, (2) brothers, Matthew (Lizzie) Jackson and Emmitt (Betty) Jackson (5) sisters-in-law, Lucille Reed, Bertha Montgomery, Izola (Felton) Millican, Viola (Alcee) Hurst and Doris Johnson, (1) brother-in-law, Charlie Overton, Sr., a devoted niece and Godchild, Valerria Jackson Porter, whom cared and provided for her from 2009 till her death, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Leola, was preceded in death by her parents, Tennessee Jackson and Reba Matthews Jackson, (3) sisters, Louise Evans, Dorothy Johnson and Gloria Jackson. (6) brothers, Charles Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Sr., Tennessee Jackson, Jr., Ernest Jackson, Lemard Jackson and Leary Jackson. The homegoing celebration will be at Greater Turner Chapel AME Church, 875 Turner Chapel Rd., Greensburg at 11 am Saturday, November 11, 2017. Interment in the church cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Greensburg.
