Marion Elaine Matthews

Marion Elaine Matthews departed this life on January 9, 2025, at the age of 88. She was a graduate of Southern University and taught in East Feliciana Public School System for 31 years and St. Helena Public School System for 21 years. Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 87 Paddio Johnson Ln., Greensburg, La 70441 at 12 noon until 4 pm. Viewing will resume on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Emmanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1401 Harrell Ave., Hammond, La 70405 at 11 am until religious service at 1 pm. Pastor Raynell Smith will be officiating the service. Interment will be in Turner Chapel AME Church Cemetery.
