Maverick Jackson departed this life on May 8, 2026, at the age of 66.

Maverick leaves to cherish his loving memories: his two daughers, Jermiesha McClendon and Jadeah Butler; three sons, Byron Adams, Tranceson McClendon and Jonah McClendon; his loving mother, Grace Jackson; four sisters, Gloria (Rev. Kermit) Brown, Ruby (Joseph) Self, Linda Williams and Toby Porter; one brother, Darford Jackson, Sr.; one aunt, Rachel Hall; one uncle, Charles Muse, Jr; one great uncle, William Amacker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 87 Paddio Johnson Ln., Greensburg, La 70441 at 3 pm to 8 pm. Viewing will resume on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12 noon until the religious service at 1 pm. Rev. Anthony Burton will be officiating the service. Interment will be in Pipkin Chapel Church Cemetery.
