Mother Arzelia Harrell Winding

Arzelia Harrell Winding, a native of Magnolia, MS and a resident of Walker, passed on February 22, 2021 at 6 pm in the Butterfly Wing at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center Mid City Campus. She was 83 and a retired health care worker with Dixon Memorial Hospital. Drive-thru viewing will be at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 7803 Florida Blvd East, Denham Springs, LA 70726 from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, February 26, 2021 and service will be held at Gospel Temple COGIC, 82 Banks Lane, Pine Grove, LA 70453 on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM. COVID 19 Social Distancing Protocols will be in place. Interment will be at Sherman Cemetery, Hamp Lea Road, Magnolia, MS 39652
She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Elder Kenneth, Sr. (Carolyn) Winding, Baton Rouge, LA; Deacon John Winding, Walker, LA; five daughters, Donnis Davis, Missouri City, TX, Dora (Ernest, Jr.) Lee, Grangeville, LA, Gayle Golmond, Walker, LA, Linda Griffin, Baker, LA, Carrie Winding, McComb, MS; four brothers, Reverend. J Lee (Mary) Harrell and Reverend Hilton (Twilla) Harrell, both of McComb, MS, Ellis Ray (Hilda) Harrell, Anchorage, AK, Robert Lee (Bernice) Harrell, Magnolia, MS; two sisters, Deloris (Charles) Atkinson, McComb, MS and Mable Miller, Phoenix, AZ; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; four godchildren, Deacon Alton (Barbara) Scott, Ernest Bell, Ruth Anne Bell Keller, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
