Pastor Gloria (Ned) Coleman
Our community sadly lost a great pillar and respected leader, when one of heaven's angels was called home on Sunday June 6, 2021. Pastor Missionary Gloria Ned- Coleman was a well-known Counselor, Evangelist, Minister, Motivational Speaker, and so much more in the community. She was called by one and loved by many; always willing to help those in need. She dedicated her life to the work of God at both of her Churches: Cathedral of Faith Outreach Ministries in Baton Rouge, LA and Cathedral of Faith Church of God In Christ in Opelousas, LA. At the age of 17 she became a licensed Missionary with a vision of guiding people to Christ. Many souls were won and surrendered their life to Christ under her leadership. Pastor Gloria Ned-Coleman was elevated to State Supervisor of the women's division of the C.O.G.I.C International. She also served as a volunteer in the Sharing and Caring Organization where she helped to clothe and feed those in need.
She was nationally and internationally known and spent over 30 years of her life teaching, preaching, and encouraging others to live a blessed and successful life. Some of her other contributions included: Her women's ministry (Women of Choice), which she founded and organized; She also helped to distribute food to the impoverished parts of the community through Morning Star Rehabilitation facility, served as a radio and TV personality to witness to those seeking spiritual guidance, and sung the gospel all over the world. Pastor Gloria Ned-Coleman is survived by her Husband William Coleman, her son Martin Ned, and her Granddaughter Tesia Burton, along with a host of biological and adopted family and friends in the Baton Rouge area and surrounding parishes in Louisiana. Her Legacy will continue to live on through the hearts and minds of everyone she touched as well as those she reached, but never met in person.
