Sallie Marie Range Burton departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was 81 and a native of Baton Rouge, LA. Religious services Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. James Baptist Church; conducted by Rev. Robert Smith; interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Her memories will be cherished by husband: Emmitt Burton, Jr.; daughters: Shawn (Michael) Jarrell, LaJoy Robertson, Bridgette Floyd, Fredricka (James) Sanders, Ava (Sidney) Davis, and Cynthia Burton; sisters: Mamie Pero, Ruth Addison, Virgie Tidwell (Sacramento, CA), Carla Ellis, and Karen Merridy; brothers: Warren (Bessie) Range, Paul (Linda) Range, and Joseph Range; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 Godchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents David Jr. and Juanita Range, brothers: David III, Michael, Shadrach, Charles, Darrell, and Thomas Range; sisters: Debra Lynn English and Julia Ann Paul; grandparents: Samuel and Julia (King) Stampley.
