September 14, 1921 — January 27, 2025
Vera Lockhart Baker, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 27, 2025. She was known for her warmth, kindness, delicious meals and unwavering love for those around her.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 7803 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, La 70726 at 4 pm to 7 pm. Viewing will resume on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Mt. Zion First Baptist Church, 356. T.J. Jemison Blvd., Baton Rouge, La 70802 at 9 am until religious service at 11 am. Pastor Renè Brown will be officiating the service. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family deeply appreciates the love, prayers, and support that has been shown during this time.
