VertLee Hurley Washington, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, departed this life on September 9, 2025, at the age of 105. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Shaw Temple UMC, 8818 Pear St., New Orleans, La 70118 at 10 am. Rev. Preston will be officiating the service. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery.
